Tips to repair broken LCD

Fixing a broken laptop screen is more often than not, a very easy project. If you have a broken screen, don't jump and sell it for considerably less than it's worth. Instead, of it go and try to find the replacement LCD, the entire cover for your computer, or even better, your computer with a blown motherboard but intact screen! The later case, you not only get a new screen, but extra memory, a backup hard drive and perhaps even a Wi-Fi card you didn't have before.

It helps to know your computer. If you don't, do your research first. Some laptops have the LCD glued into the frame. In these cases it's usually much easier to replace the whole cover. Most don't have this problem though.

Gather the required tools first and new LCD replacement, it is good to choose a brand with repute.

First thing you need to do is to detach all the power supply from the computer including the battery.

Remove all the tapes from panel and while taking out the tapes, note there location as you will need them again.

After that locate all the screw along the sides of the LCD, there may be four to six screw on the sides.

Then see the functional DVD you receive while buying your computer. There is sufficient information about your LCD.

Then do as directed, the process is directed quite easily just follow the instructions.

Try to avoid touching the face of the screen while fixing it.
