Tips to replace cracked LCD screen

Step 1

Check weather your computer screen is repairable or not there’s no point in replacing the laptop’s screen if the rest of the computer is broken. If you are confirm that only the screen has problems, skip to the next step but if a fall caused the damage or if something else could have damaged internal components. Then try booting the laptop and connecting it to an external monitor using the computer’s video output port if the computer doesn’t boot at all or fails to output any video, professional help is necessary.

Step 2:

Shut down the computer, unplug the power supply, and remove the battery before you begin. In most cases before you begin. Use a knife or other sharp tool to remove the grommets and expose all of the screw heads then use a screwdriver to carefully remove each screw then use a flat-bladed screwdriver or your fingernails to gently remove the front bezel. Tilt the screen forward and remove any screws, tape, or other fasteners that are used to secure it to a mounting bracket .Then disconnect any cables that connect the screen to the inverter, video port, or other hardware. Check for loose, damaged, or cut cables. Check if a cable is loose or disconnected, reattach it, replace the bezel, and turn on the computer to see if that fixes the problem.

Step 3:

After removing the old screen, see the label listing which denotes its making, model, and specific part number. Note down this information before contacting the manufacturer to order a replacement part.

Step 4:

Rearrange the screw and the bezel back into place to complete the repair. While doing all this take great care so that the new screen do not scratch while move the bezel into place. Then pop the grommets back into place with your.

Step 5:

To make sure turn on the computer if the screen is recognized and that the native resolution is selected, and test several apps to make sure everything works. If still it doesn’t work ,see if the cable is connected properly or the graphics hardware, video port, inverter, or backlight. You must double-check the cable connections.
