How to Fix a LCD Monitor

If a point on your LCD screen is always lit or always dark, then it signifies that your LCD screen is broken. It is usually due to a transistor malfunction or uneven distribution of liquid in the liquid crystal display (TFT LCD). This can often be fixed with some easy steps.

Steps to follow

Method (based on pressure)

First you have to turn off your computer's monitor.

To avoid scratch on your screen take a damp washcloth,

Take some any instrument with a focused, but relatively dull, point.

Then apply pressure through the folded washcloth with the instrument where exactly at the stuck pixel.

Do not to put pressure anywhere else, as this can make things worse.

Then remove the pressure and see that the stuck pixel must be gone.

This works as the liquid in the liquid crystal has not spread into each little pixel

Method based on Tapping

Keep the computer and LCD screen turn on.

A Sharpie marker with the cap on should be fine for this.

With the help of the rounded end of the pen gently tap where the stuck pixel is - not too hard to start with,

See a quick white glow under the point of contact; if you didn't see a white glow, then you didn't tap hard enough push slightly more pressure this time.

Gently increase the pressure of tapping on the taps until the pixel rights itself.

To verify that you haven't accidentally caused more damage than you fixed display a white image
